Founded in 1984 by Rick Pearson and John Dickson, BAR Environmental Inc., formerly Dickson Pearson Associates, has solidified a renowned legacy spanning four decades in the Water and Wastewater Industry across the Southeast. For 40+ years, we have built long-lasting connections with manufacturers, consulting engineers, plant managers, and operators, fostering a reputation of trust and excellence.

Bobby Clemmer

Bobby has experience working with water/wastewater construction and engineering consulting and has several years of experience working with a national corporate organization supplying engineered solutions in both sales and management roles. He provides leadership and vision for the BAR Environmental companies.

Rick co-founded BAR Environmental, Inc. in 1984. With over 40 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry, he has built and established long-lasting relationships with business owners, engineers and manufacturers alike. Under his guidance, the company has built a powerful legacy and continues to grow more successful over time.
Mark Young
Bachelor of Business Administration

During college Mark competed as a 4-year varsity football letterman and starting quarterback for Ole Miss of the SEC. He also comes with nearly 30 years of business experience: leading teams, building brands, and helping organizations grow on both regional and national levels. At BAR, Mark is responsible for further developing the service organization, overall marketing and promotional strategies, project management and providing support to the BAR’s solutions team across all product lines. His proven success and leadership in team atmospheres is essential in providing the best products and services to BAR’s customers and partners.
Andy LeJune

Since 1993, Andy has had successful involvement and leadership in the Civil Engineering industry. He has experience working on various projects in site development, drainage, bridge, water, and wastewater treatment. Since his time with BAR, Andy has successfully developed new business markets and worked effectively with manufacturers, consulting engineers, contractors and business owners.
Joe Sanford, P.E.

Joe joined our team as a Professional Engineer after 10 years working as a consulting engineer. His primary discipline was directed towards industrial and municipal Water and Wastewater Design and construction. His experience with client development, planning/design, project management, and construction oversight has led to a track record of success. His knowledge and commitment to providing excellent service is a valuable asset to our customers and supply partners.
Cody Sorensen

Idaho State University, Pocatello, ID 2016
An academic All-American and four-year varsity football letterman from Idaho State University, Cody joins BAR with over four years of experience, most of which serving as a lead engineer for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program in Idaho. There he designed and maintained their water/wastewater systems. Additionally, he has worked as a project and construction manager for one of the Nation’s largest engineering firms, located in Nashville. Cody’s well-rounded experience, work ethic and determination to quality will be a great asset to our customers and partners.
Joe Schmits

Joe has been in technical sales since 1995. He currently manages bids, various client projects, operations as well as mentoring sales engineers. His solutions-first approach and extensive experience working with consulting engineers, contractors and business owners has allowed for a successful track record for solving operational challenges for clients of all sizes.
Matt Watson
Bachelor of Arts, Louisiana Scholars College
Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, LA 1997
Matt grew up in Michigan and was part of a third-generation family-owned Concrete Construction Business. After graduating from Northwestern State of Natchitoches LA, Matt helped start up a ready-mix concrete company located in Baton Rouge, LA. He also served in the legislative branch of the East Baton Rouge Parish government as both staff and elected official. During this time, a federal consent decree forced the rebuilding of the parish's entire $1.5 billion sanitary sewer system. Matt’s experience will be very valuable to BAR Environmental and our Partners and customers.
Brad Miller
Since 2005, Brad has gained Water/Wastewater experience in both the public and private sectors. As a Field Manager specializing in flow monitoring and instrumentation, he managed Sewer System Evaluation projects throughout Tennessee. He also worked with the engineering department at Nashville Metro Water Services and gained experience in disinfection practices, infrastructure integrity and improving municipal performance on numerous capital improvement, municipal development, and federal projects. Brad’s track record of providing technical solution-based results will further improve BAR’s ability to support customer and partner needs.

Prior to joining the BAR Companies, Jason has 17 years of experience in both finance and sales. He joins BAR as a Financial Analyst and will further develop structure and consistency in business and financial processes. He will improve and streamline customer and partner service.
Randy Carpenter
AAS Civil Engineering Technology - Gaston College, Dallas, NC, 2010
Randy joins the BAR companies with more than 10 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment. He has worked in various areas of both, including wastewater collections and water distribution.
Starting as a treatment operator and then plant and distribution/collection, customer service, system acquisitions, onto area and project management. Randy has managed various projects such as treatment facility upgrades, lift station and booster pump station upgrades, distribution and collection design/build, storage tank rehabs, and new storage tank construction.
He maintains a wastewater treatment operator’s license in both GA and N.C. Randy’s experience will be valuable to customers and partners while supporting their needs.
Blake Heilman

After graduating from Mississippi State University, Blake joins BAR as an Engineer-In-Training with both project and construction management experience. In previous roles as a field manager and manufacturing engineer intern, Blake was responsible for managing the overall safety, schedule, and operations of multiple crews. He also brings a high proficiency in CAD design. Blakes communication skills, project management experience, and determination to excellence will be a great benefit to the BAR team and associated partners.

Will joins BAR as a Project Engineer. He has worked in the construction industry as a mechanical engineering intern; managing drawings, layouts, and load calculations. During his graduate career, he taught multiple mechanical engineering courses, including several in-depth research projects. William's communication abilities, attention to detail, and drive for excellence will be a great benefit for the BAR Environmental partners and customers.
Will Martindale

Will joins the BAR companies as a Project Engineer with prior experience in the manufacturing industry. Will was responsible for ensuring quality control, production efficiency, and on-time delivery of equipment. Will’s communication skills, attention to detail, and determination for excellent customer support will be a great asset to BAR’s customers and partners.

Jason brings valuable experience to the BAR team with life-long experience in the construction industry. He is skilled in understanding client needs and bringing their vision to life. He pays close attention to detail from planning and scheduling projects to installation, and post-install repairs and improvements.
